D.A.R.E. America has developed some “New” innovative fundraising partners designed to help local Community-based D.A.R.E. Programs across the country raise money to support and sustain their Community programs. Premier Books Direct Inc. is one of these new partners.  D.A.R.E. Officers help secure their schools to allow Premier Books Direct Distributors to come in an set-up a display of products in the teachers lounge (offering teachers, other faculty and staff an opportunity to purchase quality products 40% to 60% below retail in addition to special incentives for the schools that participate). The local Community D.A.R.E. Program receives $100.00 donation just for getting the school to participate. In addition the local distributor (his/her self) offers additional percentages of sales as well to the local Community D.A.R.E. Program. It is a win-win-win-win-Win (I.e. Premier Books, D.A.R.E. America, local D.A.R.E. Program, the schools and most importantly the CHILDREN of that Community win, by receiving money to sustain and expand their Community-based D.A.R.E. Programs. Sheriff Ralph Lopez (receiving first $1,000.00 check from Distributors Debbie Bullard and John Kelsey) said “this is a phenomenal fundraising concept as it keeps deputies and officers from having to go out and fundraise and on the street serving and protecting our citizens”. It is a perfect example of a total Community effort school districts, law enforcement and citizens all working as a TEAM to help save our CHILDREN from tobacco, alcohol, and legal and illegal drug use/abuse and teaching them to make better decisions. Bexar county D.A.R.E. should receive an estimated $40,000.00 from this joint partnership effort. D.A.R.E. is working in Bexar County, Texas!
