Deputy George D. Little

D.A.R.E. Coordinator visits local Quantum Office

I was invited to visit our local Quantum Office – O S O Promotions and Skyline Promotionz here is San Antonio, Bexar County Texas. I was blown away – No I got the “JUICE” from visiting with these young winners that are out there everyday working to help us help our children. The excitement, demeanor and professionalism of these young people are dynamic and second to none. Some are even former D.A.R.E. Program graduates – wow D.A.R.E. really does Work! These young people go out in all kinds of weather and adverse conditions just like we as law enforcement officers do everyday. In addition just like us they too are earning a living and working to help save our and protect our children….that’s right just like we do and believe it or not for a lot less pay and they have to provide their own transportation not like cars we are assigned. We as a collective D.A.R.E. family need to really appreciate what these young people are doing for us and the children we serve. They too are committed to helping D.A.R.E. and helping us. I encourage all to visit your local Quantum Office and see for yourself. You know like any profession there are good and bad people and like any new program there are growing pains and learning curves, but at the end of the day it is all good when we are all on the same TEAM and working in a united direction to help keep D.A.R.E. alive and saving our children. In my now 36-years of law enforcement service and my 19-plus years with D.A.R.E., I have never seen anything like this. We really have an opportunity for D.A.R.E. and our Community programs to become solid and grow. Together Everyone Achieves More and as in our case our children benefit from us all working together and rowing in the same direction…always “FORWARD”.
