The bike helmets were donated to the
Bexar County
D.A.R.E. Program by a 7th
grader named Kyle Bush (not pictured, attends Bradley Middle
School in NEISD) his father is Chief Bush of Somerset PD whom delivered
the helmets to
D.A.R.E. Instructor Deputy Anthony
Daggett, since his son was in school. His son donates
all types of helmets to needy children. The donation took place
at Somerset Police Department Office located in Somerset, Texas.
These 8 helmets will be given away in 2007 at our annual
D.A.R.E.
San Antonio Missions baseball game this year along with bicycles
that were donated by Brown Chevrolet in Devine, Texas. The bikes
and helmets will be prizes for an essay contest entitled what
D.A.R.E. means too me and why I will stay drug and
violence free. Once again the Bexar County
D.A.R.E. Program shows it is
more than just classroom
instruction, it is a true asset to all the Communities and citizens of
Bexar County.
D.A.R.E. Works.
