San Antonio and Bexar
County raised $3,000.00

Resistance
Education (D.A.R.E.) Program. FW-1 set-up a
small display at all local Exxon Stations and Tigermarts, providing a
demonstration to potential customer’s cars while they were pumping gas and
sold to only those citizens that were interested. In addition they have
other car cleaning items and kits to take care of tires, tar and grease
removal, carpet & upholstery which were sold as well. Proceeds from this
went to support D.A.R.E.
America
national program as well as to help provide sorely needed funding to our
local Community-based
Bexar County
D.A.R.E.
Program. FW-1 set-up each week at ten (10) Exxon locations from Monday
through Saturday with a special event occurring every Saturday where they
gave out “FREE” Child Safety Identifications cards. The
Bexar County
D.A.R.E.
Program received a total of $3,000.00 or $1,000.00 per week per location
up-front. To date Bexar
County

has received $3,900.00 from this fundraiser and it continues to grow. “It
was truly a win – win – win scenario – the local Exxon stations won, the
Community won and more importantly the Children won”, in this event.” “This
is a perfect situation whereby Exxon local businesses within our Communities
and law enforcement working together became part of the solution and win
over the drug dealers, by having the funds to continue to help educate, save
and prevent our children from becoming victims of drug use and abuse.” said
Deputy George D. Little,
D.A.R.E.
Coordinator
– Bexar County.
Deputy Little said he spoke with many Exxon customers at Saturday’s events
and they were all very supportive of
D.A.R.E.
and of Exxon’s commitment to support the
Bexar County
D.A.R.E.
Program as well. Thanks EXXON you proved you are a viable asset to our
Communities and too our children. You exemplify and show the whole country
that by working as a TEAM with local law enforcement -Together Everyone
Achieves More - D.A.R.E.
