Just as your local
D.A.R.E.
program needs funding, D.A.R.E.
America
requires funding to carry out responsibilities on a national
level. If you're not sure what
D.A.R.E.
America does
nationally and how it benefits your
D.A.R.E.
program, feel free to call your
D.A.R.E.
America Regional Director
for an explanation: John Lindsay
D.A.R.E.
America
Southeast Regional Director at (310) 433-5450 or e-mail him at
john.lindsay@dare.com
.When
engaging in fundraising activities,
D.A.R.E.
America exacts great care to partner only with select
organizations having pristine reputations, which are willing to
abide by strict policy, procedure and engage only in activities
promoting the D.A.R.E. message.
D.A.R.E.
America never:
-
Involves students in fund development
activities,
-
Engages in telemarketing,
-
Participates in
endeavors that detract from a Community’s support for a
local D.A.R.E.
program, or
-
Involves the
non-voluntary participation of
D.A.R.E. instructors.
D.A.R.E.
America
has an established history of participating in fund development
activities that directly benefit local programs as well as
D.A.R.E.
America.
D.A.R.E.
America
is currently involved in a number of programs in which you can
participate to help the funding of your
D.A.R.E.
program.
Each Wednesday, for the next several
weeks we will disseminate a
D.A.R.E.
America
bulletin that provides an explanation of an individual fund
development program, with details how you can become involved
and your D.A.R.E.
program can benefit.
